Out with a BANG

CHOIRS, SOLOISTS JOIN KWS FOR POWERFUL SEASON FINALE

Kitchener – The Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony (KWS), led by Music Director Edwin Outwater, closes its 2008/09 season in glorious style with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. This powerful concert, accompanied by Larry Larson on trumpet, Laura Whalen, soprano; Lauren Siegel, mezzo soprano; Kurt Lehmann, tenor; Nathaniel Watson, baritone; and the combined voices of five local choirs, is the crowning achievement of the season. Ode to Joy encompasses Outwater’s vision for the Signature Series –“Big, Bold and Beautiful…a truly inspiring musical event.” Performance takes place on May 29 & 30 at Centre In The Square (CITS) at 8PM, and on Sunday, May 31 at 2:30PM.
