TORONTO - Rogers Cable Communications Inc. announced that it is boosting the download speed of its two most popular Internet services, effective immediately. Rogers Hi-Speed Internet Express will increase from 7 Mbps to 10 Mbps and Rogers Hi-Speed Internet Lite will increase from 1 Mbps to 3 Mbps.
These service enhancements are being introduced at no extra charge to
residential customers and will be in place by May 29.
"Our customers tell us that speed is one of the most important attributes
of their Internet service and it is due to this that we are committed to
delivering a service that is faster than the competition." said Steven Wagner,
Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Rogers Cable. "Independent
research firm comScore Inc. has found that Rogers Hi-Speed Internet speeds are
the fastest and most reliable(1), and by re-speeding these tiers, customers
continue to receive the premium service they desire."
As a result of consumers doing more online, Rogers continues to invest in
its network in order to ensure the greatest Internet performance and online
experience for its customers. In the past ten years alone, Rogers has invested
more than $1 billion in its network to enhance bandwidth capabilities and
deliver customers greater choice for Internet services.
