Libro Customer-Owners Go Paperless and Donate to Trees Ontario

London —Libro Financial Group is pleased to announce its donation of $20,000 to Trees Ontario, an organization which supports tree planting across the province. The money will be used to plant approximately 8,000 new tree seedlings in southwestern Ontario in the spring of 2010.

“We challenged 15% our customer-owners to switch to paperless statements and promised a $20,000 donation to Trees Ontario if we achieved the goal together,” says Tania Goodine, VP Brand. “Everyone was eager and excited to help out the environment and we surpassed our goal, reaching 16% or nearly 8,000 owners who are paperless!”

“We look forward to seeing the trees go in the ground,” says Michael Scott, President and CEO of Trees Ontario. “We are most grateful to Libro for their commitment, which will help us meet significant annual tree planting targets.”

Libro has shown strong commitment to the environment in the recent past by building green branches in St. Thomas, Wingham and Kitchener.

“We always look for ways to reduce our environmental impact whether it is offering paperless options, supporting organizations like Trees Ontario or building green where feasible,” explains Goodine.
