The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation Celebrates Giving

Waterloo - The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation (KWCF) is hosting a Celebration of Giving to commemorate 25 years of generosity and philanthropy in Kitchener, Waterloo, and area this Sunday.

“Ours is a community rich in philanthropic history. One where friends help friends, families help families, neighbours help neighbours, and where everyone works together for the common good,” says Rosemary Smith, CEO of The KWCF. “A Celebration of Giving is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate this caring and giving community we call home.”

The celebration is open to the public and almost 60 charitable organizations will be on hand with interactive activities and demonstrations.

Adds Smith, “We hope folks will be able to join us for some fun and entertainment and find out a little bit more about the great work that our non profit sector does on behalf of our community every day.”
