BDO Dunwoody LLP and MDKS Announce Merger

Kitchener - BDO Dunwoody LLP is pleased to announce their merger with MDKS, a Waterloo-area accounting firm, effective July 1, 2009. The combined practice will operate under the BDO Dunwoody LLP name.

McMane Dunkel Kingston and Stranz LLP and MDKS Solutions Inc. make up the firm. Their clients vary from owner-managed entrepreneurial businesses to significant community-oriented non-profit organizations. The office consists of four partners, Wayne Dunkel, Rick Kingston, Michael Stranz and Lloyd Wright and a staff of 29 personnel.

This merger will double the size of BDO’s presence in Waterloo Region with a total of 90 professionals including 10 Partners, 2 Associates, 23 senior managers and managers and 55 staff operating out of offices in Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge.

The new BDO Waterloo Region team will offer a wide variety of Accounting and Advisory services including Assurance, Taxation, IT Solutions and Risk and Financial Advisory services to a multitude of area-based clients.
