Canada Day hours for City of Kitchener facilities

KITCHENER - Many City of Kitchener facilities will be closed for Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1. Facilities will operate on the following schedules:

Kitchener City Hall
Offices at Kitchener City Hall will be closed on Canada Day.
Services normally offered by staff will be available again on Thursday, July 2, at 8:30 a.m. The building itself will remain open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. as it does on all holidays and weekends.

Your Kitchener Market
The market is closed July 1, reopening on Thursday, July 2 at 9 a.m. for the international cuisine vendors, who will remain open until 4 p.m. and merchant vendors, artisans and crafters, who are open from 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Kitchener Public Library branches
All Kitchener Public Library locations will be closed on Wednesday, July 1.

Breithaupt, Forest Heights, Lyle Hallman and Cameron Heights pools are closed for Canada Day. Free family swims, sponsored by Tim Hortons, are offered at the following pools. Please check for full swim schedules.
Harry Class Pool:
11 a.m.-1 p.m. - Family/lane swim
2-4:30 p.m. - Free public swim
5-6:30 p.m. - Family/lane swim
6:30-8 p.m. - Public swim

Idlewood Pool:
2-4:30 p.m. - Free public swim
4:30-5:15 p.m. and 5:15-6 p.m. - Drop-in lessons
6-8 p.m. - Public swim

Wilson Pool:
2-4 p.m. Free public swim
4-4:45 p.m. - Drop-in lessons
4:45-5:30 p.m. - Drop-in lessons
6-8 p.m. - Public swim

Kiwanis Park is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Breithaupt wading pool is open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Chandler Mowat Community Centre splash pad is open from 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre splash pad is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Victoria Park splash pad is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Community centres
All community centres and seniors' centres are closed for the holiday.

Budd Park
Budd Park will be open for regular use in the evening to field users.

City arenas
The city's arenas (Don McLaren, Queensmount, Grand River, Lions and Activa Sportsplex) are closed all day July 1.

Kitchener Memorial Auditorium
The Aud will be closed on July 1.
