Joe Lawrence named CEO of Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd.

MISSISSAUGA - Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. today announced the appointment of Joe Lawrence to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

As the subsidiary's new CEO, Lawrence brings strong local and international experience to lead Porsche's expanded Canadian presence. He was most recently Director, Sales at BMW Group Canada, where he oversaw new and pre-owned sales as well as regional operations in Canada. Prior to that, he held the position of Director, Marketing, where he was responsible for marketing communications, event marketing, market research and product planning.

He has also served at BMW of North America in Denver, CO and Woodcliff Lake, NJ, as well as BMW head office in Munich, where he was 6 Series Communications Manager and Product and Price Planning Manager for North America. He began his career selling cars retail, later moving to Nissan Motor Corporation as a Consumer Affairs Analyst and Product Training Specialist.

Lawrence holds an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta and a BA in Economics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Porsche Cars Canada was formed in April 2008. As a standalone subsidiary with dedicated leadership, it has complete market and financial accountability as an independent importer and reports directly to Porsche AG headquarters in Stuttgart. The company employs a team of 17 in sales, aftersales, finance and marketing. Last calendar year, Porsche sold 1,682 units in Canada.
