Celebrated Canadians share how to ‘Parent with Passion’

“Parenting with Passion” is an innovative new series on CTV* The 8-part TV series is based on a nationally recognized parenting program offered by K-W Counselling Services. The series explores the potential every caring adult has to make a life-enriching difference in a child’s development.

Premiere Episode is Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 6:30 p.m, CTV Southwestern Ontario

It features Barbara Coloroso and fascinating interviews with celebrated Canadians as they explore what determines healthy, thriving and resilient children. Sharing their experiences and insights about the importance of child and adult relationships, and how even one adult can be a crucial, positive influence on a child’s future success.

"A coach, bus driver, neighbour, or parent can all make a difference in a child's future success. It sounds simple, but it really can change the world," says Executive Director Leslie Josling.

Topics include raising boys, cohesive neighbourhoods, our special children and parenting in two cultures. Deb DeJong is the creator of the series, and Director of Family & Community Solutions at K-W Counselling Services.
