First Nation Forbids Children's Aid Workers

CONSTANCE LAKE FIRST NATION - Ontario Children's Aid Workers are being prohibited from entering a First Nation Community. Constance Lake First Nation Chief and Council have passed a resolution banning all members of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services from their territory. Chief Arthur Moore says, "If for any reason a representative enters onto Constance Lake Territory, they will be treated as trespassers, and if any children are removed from the community it will be considered a kidnapping."

The industries most pessimistic are agriculture with an index level of 47.9 (likely due to ongoing challenges in the livestock sector and drought conditions in parts of the West), natural resources at 46.0 and the transport sectors at 51.2.
