Savvas Chamberlain Announces Future Plans for Transition to Non-Executive Chairman Role at DALSA

Waterloo - DALSA Corporation, announced that Savvas Chamberlain will step down from his role as Chief Technology Officer of the Company on October 12, 2009, at which time he will transition to the role of Chairman, in a non-management status. Dr. Chamberlain has served as Executive Chairman and CTO since September, 2007 when Brian Doody was named Chief Executive Officer. Previously, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 1996, and President since 1980 when he founded the Company.

"Although I am stepping down as CTO, with my role as Chairman of the Board and as a significant shareholder, I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the Company and its stakeholders," said Dr. Chamberlain. "In particular, I look forward to assisting Brian Doody and the Company's excellent leadership team as they execute on their plans for the Company's future."

Chief Executive Officer, Brian Doody, commented, "Since his founding of our company nearly three decades ago, Savvas' contributions to DALSA and the microelectronics and technology industry in Canada are too numerous to list.
