New Zealand's Correspondence School Signs Deal With Desire2Learn for Online Teaching and Learning Environment

Kitchener-Waterloo – Desire2Learn Incorporated (Desire2Learn), a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise eLearning solutions, recently signed with The Correspondence School (TCS) in New Zealand to deliver the full line of product offerings within the Desire2Learn® Learning Management System (LMS). Implementation will begin immediately.

Through a rigorous, contestable RFP process, Desire2Learn was selected for its ease of use, scalability, ability to incorporate third-party and in-house systems into the online teaching and learning environment, as well as for their strong customer focus.

The Correspondence School is New Zealand's largest school with more than 22,000 students a year, (around 14,000 students enrolled at any one time) studying full or part-time, and staff based around the country. Personalized learning programs are provided for students from early childhood to Year 13, as well as for adult learners and those with special education needs. The youngest students are just three years old, while the oldest student is 92. Most students are studying at years 9-13 (secondary level). Twenty-eight percent of the students are Māori. Students live in every part of the country as well as overseas and come from all walks of life.
