USW Interior Bargaining Committee launches "dealwithsteel.ca" website

BURNABY, BC - The United Steelworkers Interior Bargaining Committee has launched a new website - www.dealwithsteel.ca - to support the union's collective bargaining in the BC Interior forest industry.

The website features information on the collective bargaining process and lists the work sites that are covered by CONIFER, the IFLRA, Canfor and West Fraser.

Steelworker members and the general public can obtain the bargaining committee's latest posted bulletins and follow the commercial media's coverage of negotiations.

The site also features responses to Frequently Asked Questions and interesting facts.

Also included is a current YouTube video featuring USW Wood Council chair Bob Matters and all five local union presidents from the BC Interior who sit on the bargaining committee.

Union members can visit the Contact Us page to register for the latest BC Interior bargaining news.

The media can also visit the Contact page to connect with Bob Matters, while USW members and community members and organizations can connect with local union presidents representing woodworkers in the northern and southern Interior local unions.
