Bio Chemical Engineering Research Growth
Waterloo - The University of Waterloo will hold a groundbreaking ceremony today for the faculty of engineering's latest expansion project - Engineering 6.
The five-storey Engineering 6 building will house four chemical engineering research groups - bio-chemical and bio-medical, green reaction, polymer science and material science - and about half of the chemical engineering department at the University of Waterloo.
Funding for the project is being provided through the federal Knowledge Infrastructure Program - an initiative to renew the infrastructure at colleges and universities - the 2009 Ontario budget and the university itself.
