OCRI Takes Top Canadian Companies to Meet Investors in New York and Boston

OTTAWA - Winners of the Canada's Top 10(TM) Competition head to Boston and New York next week for a series of U.S. investor forums. The companies will take part in one-on-one meetings and formal presentations during their week-long tour which exposes Canada's leading life science, cleantech and technology companies to American venture capital investors, angels, licensing executives and potential strategic partners.

This year's schedule includes a three-day forum in Boston followed by two days in New York City. OCRI has been working closely with the consulates in both cities to ensure that the forums provide these elite companies with an exclusive opportunity to present to top tier venture capitalist firms and other potential investors, partners and customers, in a series of invitation only events.

The Canada's Top 10(TM) Competition showcases some of the most promising life science, cleantech and technology companies from across Canada to Canadian and international investors and strategic partners.

Winners are chosen by an independent expert jury composed of Canadian and U.S. venture capitalists, private equity partners and angel investors. Winners receive both targeted and broad based exposure to international investors and industry insiders that are important to their continued growth and success. Since the launch of the competition in 1999, winners and alumni have secured more than $600M in venture capital financing.
