Kitchener - MTE Consultants Inc. (MTE) was named to the 2009 ZweigWhite Hot Firm List in recognition of the firm’s tremendous growth from 2005 to 2008. During that time, MTE increased its revenues by 108 per cent, landing the company in 73rd place. The organization is also one of only four firms with head offices located in Canada.

“MTE is honoured to earn this accomplishment, given the size of our organization in comparison to other companies in our field of work,” says MTE President Greg Marks. “Our accomplishments over this three-year time period are a testament to the faith our clients have in us and the valuable work our employees produce.”

Each year ZweigWhite, a management consulting and research firm, identifies the 200 fast-growing architectural, engineering and environmental consulting firms in the U.S. and Canada. The rankings are based solely on gross revenue, with companies being asked to submit revenues from fiscal years 2005 and 2008.

Firms are ranked from first to last based on percentage growth and dollar growth, with each weighted equally to give both small and large firms the opportunity to compete. Each firm’s two rankings are added together, and the 200 firms with the best combined scores make the list. Winners will be honoured during a special awards ceremony in Las Vegas from Oct. 28 to 30.

MTE has been serving southwestern Ontario since 1985. The company’s more than 175 employees provide services in civil (land and site development), municipal, structural and environmental engineering. The company’s environmental service lines also include hydrogeology; mould and asbestos remediation; toxicology; and product testing and registration. MTE has offices in Kitchener, Burlington and Guelph.
