Grand Opening Celebrations at Bridlewood Home Hardware

New store will be largest home improvement store in Kanata area

Kanata – On October 1st, Dealer-Owner, Chuck Hillock’s Bridlewood Home Hardware will open its doors to customers. On the corner of Eagleson and Michael Cowpland Drive, the new 18,000 square foot store will provide the community of Bridlewood with all their needs from decorating to renovating at one convenient location.

To mark the occasion, grand opening celebrations will include a weekend-long sale with extended store hours, and door crasher prizes, including a $4000.00 suite at an Ottawa Senators game and a Home Furniture gift card valued at $500.00. The store will also host a charity barbeque with all proceeds going to the March of Dimes. Special appearances by Home Hardware’s garden expert, Mark Cullen and the #4 Home Hardware NASCAR.

“Our team has been working tirelessly over the past year to ensure that this new store would be finished on time and exceed the public’s expectations,” said Chuck Hillock, Dealer-Owner Bridlewood Home Hardware. “The time has finally come and we are so excited to finally open our doors and bring the people of Kanata the superior product assortment and quality service they deserve.”

With over thirty-eight years of experience in the hardware industry, Chuck Hillock, also Dealer-Owner of Capital Home Hardware in Ottawa, brings years of retailing expertise and knowledge to the new store. The 18,000 square foot store will feature over 14,000 square feet of retail space and a 3,500 square foot garden centre. The building is also certified under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program (LEED)

“My team and I believe that we have created a shopping environment that both inspires and excites customers,” continued Hillock. “For so many years, I have served customers, from local contractors to do-it-yourselfers, in the Ottawa region and today’s celebration is as much about our customers as it is about Bridlewood Home Hardware.”

Bridlewood Home Hardware will include the company’s Home Expressions department, which offers stylish home décor, kitchen, bath, lighting and storage solutions categories. The company will also feature an expansive plumbing and housewares section.

“Not only has Chuck Hillock been a long-time member of the Home Hardware team, but his innovative thinking and drive for success is exactly what makes Home Hardware Dealers stand out,” said Paul Straus, Vice-President and CEO, Home Hardware Stores Limited. “Bridlewood Home Hardware is a great addition to the Home Hardware family and I am confident that it will serve the community well. This new store is another example of our commitment and investment in communities from coast to coast.”
