XRKADE Launching in Waterloo

Exciting concept connects the videogame generation to intense activity

Waterloo – Northfield XRKade is a new state of the art 1500 square foot facility that will be launched to provide energizing, activity gaming for local youth and teens on October 17, 2009. XRKade CEO Melanie Marsland, states that XRKade will be a local venue that will "add an exciting new experience for younger members of our Waterloo region community".

Northfield XRKade is no more a gym or an arcade than Disneyland is simply a roller coaster park. It is a proven, cutting edge environment and experience complete with the most advanced active gaming and entertainment systems designed for people to become "human joysticks". This cutting edge environment includes equipment like IDance, Lightspace, XR-Board, Xavix, Dogfighters. Participants get to engage in unique, fun, immersive gaming challenges whilst gaining the benefits of intense physical activity.
