Outstanding Ontarians Shape the Entrepreneurial Landscape

The Canadian Youth Business Foundation Celebrates Successful Ontario Entrepreneurs and the People Who Guide Them

Hamilton – The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) and lead media partner the National Post are proud to recognize three Ontario residents who lead the way in entrepreneurship. These remarkable individuals will be honoured at the 2009 CYBF Chairman’s Awards on November 16th, 2009 at The Carlu, Toronto, Ontario.

“Entrepreneurs are essential to Canada’s continued fortitude as a nation,” said Vivian Prokop, CEO of the Canadian Youth Business Foundation. “By encouraging and supporting our country’s future business icons, innovators and venturers, we can ensure Canada remains a substantial presence within the global marketplace. As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week Canada, on November 16th, CYBF will recognize the achievements of these extraordinary new entrepreneurs, as well as the role models who support them.”

Winning the CYBF Best Business Award for Ontario is Crystal Kaufman and BioPed North Bay.

2009’s CYBF Outstanding Mentor in Ontario is Kitchener’s Shevaun Voisin, Mentor to Janine Keller Ng from Blue Skies Yoga & Eco Store.

The winners of the Outstanding Community Partner Award in Ontario are Chris Farrell, Kristin Huigenbois and Hamilton Small Business Enterprise Centre.

Crystal Kaufman of BioPed North Bay is also in contention for the National Best Business Award, with a prize of $20,000 for business expansion. * Judging for the award takes place in Toronto, and the winner will be announced at the celebration.

* The award money is privately funded by an anonymous third party.
