Four Points by Sheraton Cambridge Opens as 100th Hotel in North America

New Four Points by Sheraton Cambridge, Ontario Showcases Brand’s New Prototype Design

CAMBRIDGE, ON/WHITE PLAINS, NY – Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announces the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Cambridge, Ontario. This property, located an hour west of Toronto, is the 100th Four Points by Sheraton to open in North America. The hotel is also the third Four Points by Sheraton prototype to open so far this year.

The newly constructed hotel, conveniently located directly off Highway 401 at Highway 8, features the brand’s rejuvenated, contemporary look, complemented by classic and comfortable interior design elements for today’s self-sufficient traveller. Owned by Preston Hospitality Inc., Four Points by Sheraton Cambridge offers 124 spacious guestrooms, including four large one-bedroom king suites, and 1,500 square-feet of flexible meeting facilities. And the hotel’s Preston Lounge & Bar serves breakfast and dinner daily.

The launch of the new Four Points by Sheraton prototype is a key part of the brand’s comprehensive global rejuvenation campaign. In the past five years, Starwood and its licensees have invested more than $1 billion to reinvent the Four Points by Sheraton brand driven by major property renovations, conversions and new-build hotels.

“We are delighted to introduce our refreshed, new look in Cambridge,” said Brian McGuinness, Senior Vice President, Specialty Select Brands for Starwood. “Our versatile and cost-efficient new prototype appeals not only to owners and developers, but also to guests who appreciate our updated approach to delivering uncomplicated comfort and simple sophistication.”

Highlights of the Four Points by Sheraton prototype include bright and bold design, clean architectural lines and warm, contemporary furnishings. Facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, heated swimming pool, flexible meeting space, and premium food and beverage facilities, including a full breakfast. At the end of the day, the hotel’s family room is the perfect spot to stay connected at Internet terminals and wind down with a local craft brew, courtesy of the popular Four Points by Sheraton Best Brews® program.

Guests will also get a good night’s sleep in the signature Four Points by Sheraton Four Comfort Bed, a luxurious ensemble including a plush mattress, assortment of pillows and stylish duvet. The Four Points by Sheraton Cambridge also offers the brand’s popular extras such as free high-speed Internet and bottled water.

Conveniently located just off Highway 401 the hotel is easily accessible to Ontario’s industrial heartland and some great attractions. Kitchener, Waterloo, St. Jacobs are all close, as are Conestoga College, the University of Waterloo, Wilfred Laurier University, Chicopee Ski Resort, African Lion Safari, the Kitchener Auditorium and Bingeman’s.
