BDO Dunwoody LLP and Robinson & Company LLP Announce Merger

GUELPH – BDO Dunwoody LLP is pleased to announce its merger with Robinson & Company LLP, a Guelph-area accounting firm, effective January 1, 2010. The combined practice will operate under the BDO name.

The merger will result in nine partners overall, who will be supported by 36 client service personnel. The expanded BDO Guelph team will offer a wide variety of accounting and advisory services, including assurance, taxation, information technology solutions, risk and financial advisory services, and The SuccessCare® Program, a succession and family business planning program that assists companies during times of transition, originally developed by Robinson & Company.

Dan Cremasco, BDO Guelph Managing Partner, says, “Robinson & Company maintains a high partner involvement with their clients. They have a highly complementary style with us at BDO. There will be a significant increase in the resources and services we can offer.”

Grant Robinson of Robinson & Company adds, “Both firms share a commitment to living and working in Guelph, a focus on owner-managed businesses and, above all, a commitment to excellent client service.”

Keith Farlinger, CEO of BDO Dunwoody comments, “Guelph is an important marketplace for BDO to take a market leadership position. Merging with Robinson & Company clearly indicates that we are proactively enhancing what we can offer to our clients and seeking opportunities to grow our business.”
