Kitchener Design Firm Wins!

Kitchener – On Thursday November 12, 2009 MFX Partners, a Kitchener-based brand design and marketing communications agency was recognized for their excellence in design at the Advertising & Design Club of Canada’s (ADCC) 60th annual awards ceremony.

At the event, MFX Partners received a prestigious Merit Award for the 2008 Aecon Group Inc. Annual Report. Aecon is Canada’s largest privately owned Canadian construction and infrastructure company.

They challenged MFX Partners to find a way to tastefully communicate a year of positive returns, without seeming ostentatious at a time of economic uncertainly for many. The result – an innovative format using a provocative, fold-out poster to enclose the financials produced on inexpensive, newsprint-like stock to convey restrained confidence and strength of a leader in the construction industry. A winner by everyone’s standards. Aecon commented that this is their “best ever” report.

The ADCC is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging excellence in Canadian advertising and design. The awards show, known as Directions, is the premiere creative awards show in Canada. This national competition attracts entrants from across Canada in Advertising Broadcast & Print, Graphic Design, Editorial Design and Interactive Media categories.

MFX Partners is known for developing best-in-class marketing and sales tools that elevate their clients’ brands above their competition. For over 25 years, founders John and Rebecca Short, and their team have been elevating brands, including engineering and technology leaders Aecon, Hendrix-Genetics, IMS/iLane, Linamar Philips/Canlyte, Research in Motion and Sybase.
