This is the only Christmas project of its kind in Waterloo Region and all proceeds support local charities, the 2009 recipients include:

* Grand River Hospital Children's Mental Health program
* Children's Wish Foundation
* May Court projects including the Food Boxes Program for Children and camp sponsorships.

The May Court Club of Kitchener-Waterloo has been actively involved in this community through volunteer efforts by approximately 200 dedicated women since 1968. Some of the key initiatives include the May Court Nearly New Shop, spring Flower Sales, Puppet Shows that entertain in area schools, and the Rotary’s Children’s Centre Music Program, the Food Boxes Program in local schools, Afternoon and Evening Centreprograms supporting mothers and children and the Special Care Committee assisting psychiatric patients living in group homes.
