Welcome to the wild wild west
KITCHENER The newest fiction title from Kitchener book publishing company, Loon In Balloon Inc. (LIB), hits stores yesterday. Hawkmoon, by Pennsylvania author Nancy Williams, is now available in Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaws stores across Canada.
Set on the frontier plains, Hawkmoon is a story of love versus possession. Abandoned at a circus, orphan Sadie Hawkmoon is abducted by a brutal horse thief and his gang. He claims her for his child, but one dark night, in the most vicious act of betrayal, he makes her his lover, and, over the course of the next four years, his protégé. Sadie must find a way out or lose herself forever.
With the movie rights optioned and a screenplay in the works, Hawkmoon is already bursting out of the gates.
While this is Williams’ first published novel, she is a winner of the Paul Gillette Award in the 2008 Pikes Peak Writers’ competition for her novel Grace.
Look for Hawkmoon in Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaws stores across Canada as well as on Chapters.ca and Amazon.com.
