Save the Stamp, Save the Time - Pay Online! And Set Your Self Up For Future User Fees

OTTAWA - Quickly and securely send a payment to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) from your bank account

The CRA's new My Payment service simplifies the process of making a payment to the CRA. This service can help anyone-from a business submitting its goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) installments - which is still up in the air - to an individual making a payment toward a personal income tax amount owing.

Now you can click your way to instantaneous payments-no more accounting for outstanding cheques, no more concerns over mailing time. It's an instant and immediate payment method!

Provided through the Interac(R) Online service, a fee for service financial transfer organization and is currently available to account holders with the BMO Bank of Montreal, Scotiabank, RBC Royal Bank, and TD Canada Trust.

Businesses can use My Payment to send the following remittances:

- GST/HST; (When If it happens)

- Payroll Source Deductions;

- Corporation Income Tax;

- Excise Duty;

- Excise Tax;

- Air Traveller's Security Charge;

- Tax on Insurance Premiums

- Softwood Lumber Products Export Charge;

- Nova Scotia Worker's Compensation Board.

Another benefit to using My Payment is that you send one payment to cover amounts to any or all of the accounts listed above. Think about it: one transaction for all those accounts! What a time saver! And it just may cost more that that stamp you saved on.

To use My Payment, or to find out more about the service, go to www.cra.gc.ca/mypayment.
