CanadianDriver.com announces Top Picks for 2010

OTTAWA - CanadianDriver.com announced its first annual Top Picks awards. The top 20 new vehicles in the Canadian marketplace were chosen by the publication's panel of senior writers and editors who have a combined 60 years of test-driving experience.

"These are the vehicles we would recommend if you came to us asking which car you should buy - which coincidentally, many of you do," says Editor-in-chief, Greg Wilson. "The winning vehicles are chosen from a broad range of vehicle classes, and unlike many awards, we consider every new vehicle sold in the Canadian market, not just the all-new models or redesigned ones."

"In the spirit of affordability, we selected only one vehicle priced over $100,000," he added.

CanadianDriver's judges take into account such factors as styling, comfort, functionality, quality, performance, fuel economy, safety features, reliability, and value for money; and class-specific advantages such as cargo capacity, payload, towing, utility, and ground clearance.

"When all is said and done, these are the vehicles we really like and wouldn't be afraid to recommend to anyone who asks," says Wilson.
