Rogers Freezestyle Weekend at Chicopee

Kitchener - Chicopee proudly presents the Rogers Freezestyle Weekend Friday February 6th – Sunday February 8th in the Karbon Terrain Park. The Rogers Freezestyle Weekend a three day event showcasing both team and individual freestyle events. Friday’s competition (6:30 pm start time) features a H-O-R-S-E style game open to teams of four. A maximum of 20 teams can compete and participants must be at least 12 years of age. Saturday February 7th is a slopestyle event (10:00 am start time) open to individual skiers and snowboarders ages 7+. Freestyle events are similar to those seen in the well-known Winter X-Games; including rail competitions, slopestyle and big air events.

“We hope that everyone will come out for a great time.”, says Shawn Turner, Marketing & Special Events Coordinator at Chicopee. “I’m very impressed by the local riders we have here at Chicopee. I can’t believe how much talent there is in the Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge area”. Chicopee welcomes spectators throughout the day; whether they are already skiing or snowboarding on the slopes, or just come out and are part of the audience to cheer on the freestyle ski and snowboard riders.

This is a big, must-see local event at Chicopee. The weekend will be jammed packed with entertainment and prizing!
