Kitchener – The annual “Skills Elementary Regional Competition” will take place Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the Conestoga College Recreation Centre -- Doon Campus.

The Skills Elementary Regional Competition involves hundreds of students from the Waterloo Catholic and Waterloo Region District school boards. The competition provides seven different technology challenges for teams of four students each in Grades 4-6 and 7-8. The challenges allow students to apply their knowledge of math, science and technology in a fun way while providing them the opportunity to make the connection between what they are learning in school and possible careers in skilled trades and technologies.
