Integran Technologies Enters Into Collaborative Research Agreement With TransCanada Corporation and NOVA Research

TORONTO - Integran Technologies Inc., a world leader in the development and commercialization of advanced metallurgical nano-technologies, has announced today that it has entered into a collaborative research agreement with TransCanada Corporation and NOVA Research and Technology Corporation (both of Calgary, Alberta, Canada) to develop an in-field repair process that utilizes nanocrystalline metals to structurally reinforce degraded gas pipeline steel. The concept is an extension of Integran's previous in-situ repair work carried out in the nuclear and petrochemical industries and is based upon the application of adherent high strength nanocrystalline metal sleeves or patches to cracked and/or corroded pipe.

In addition to the primary partners, the program will also benefit from the contributions of Dr. Fraser King of Integrity Corrosion Consulting Ltd.
