COM DEV USA appoints Terry Rector to lead expansion into National Security programs

EL SEGUNDO, CA - COM DEV USA, LLC, a subsidiary of COM DEV International Ltd., announced that Terry Rector has been appointed to the position of Director, Business Development for National Security Space Programs. Mr. Rector will lead in identifying opportunities that leverage COM DEV’s international sensor heritage to provide solutions for US Government applications such as Space Situational Awareness and Space Weather.

Terry Rector brings nearly 25 years of experience in military and civilian space systems leadership to COM DEV USA. He retired from Air Force Space Command in 2000, and subsequently held senior management and engineering positions at BAE Systems, General Dynamics and most recently, Northrop Grumman.

“Within three years COM DEV USA has become the largest domestic supplier of passive microwave components for US Government space programs,” said Dan White, President of COM DEV USA. “Terry is the ideal champion to lead our initiative to expand and diversify our product portfolio in areas that support National Security Space demands.”

COM DEV USA was launched in 2007 to respond to a need for a secure, stable and sophisticated domestic supplier to US Government programs. More than 30 years of space technology and industry know-how in the form of design software, processes, automation, management systems and business practices have been transferred to the new facility in El Segundo, California. COM DEV has assembled a team of highly experienced space industry professionals to exploit this technology as a US domestic supplier free from international export or security constraints.
