MTE Announces Two Donations in the Burlington Area

Kitchener - In recognition of its 25th anniversary, MTE Consultants Inc. (MTE) is proud to announce donations to two Burlington area initiatives. The company is donating $5,000 each to the Royal Botanical Gardens’ (RBG) Aldershot Escarpment Garden (AEG) project and Robert Bateman’s Get To Know Your Wild Neighbours program. These donations will be recognized through a cheque presentation to Burlington Mayor, Cam Jackson, at an open house celebrating MTE’s new Burlington Office location on May 27.

Water On The Rocks – Royal Botanical Gardens

AEG can simply be described as a water feature, but it is much more than that. It is a gathering place, an oasis, a celebration of the Halton region’s myriad waterfalls and a living tribute to family and friends. It is also the first garden experienced by more than a quarter of a million visitors who pass through the RBG annually. The $2 million that will be raised by the campaign will go towards construction and upkeep.

Robert Bateman – Get To Know Your Wild Neighbours and National Treasures

This North American program is committed to finding new ways to motivate youth to get outdoors and “get to know” their local environment. For over a decade, internationally renowned wildlife artist Robert Bateman has championed this program in Canada. MTE’s donation will go towards the design and execution of this new program to be implemented in the City of Burlington. Burlington will become the demonstration site for the Ontario‐based Virtual Hikes and Natural Treasures initiatives in southern Ontario.
