BRANTFORD – At its 90th anniversary celebration held yesterday, SC Johnson Canada announced a $1 million donation to Wilfrid Laurier University’s Brantford campus. The donation will support the development of a business program and the proposed construction of an athletics-recreation facility in joint partnership with the YMCA.

Labour Force Survey for May 2010

Statscan - Following large gains in April, employment rose by 25,000 in May, the fifth consecutive monthly increase. The unemployment rate was unchanged at 8.1%. Since the start of the upward trend in July 2009, employment has risen by 1.8% or 310,000.

Peterbourough - Trent Masters Student Developing Process Through a study of the behaviour of DNA molecules and by using today’s state-of-the-art laboratory automation technology, Tasnova Khan, a Masters student in the Environmental & Life Sciences Graduate Program at Trent University, hopes to make DNA extraction protocols more effective and increase the accuracy of wildlife genetics profiling.
