Use of low-dose combination therapy (rosiglitazone and metformin) reduces the risk of progression to type 2 diabetes by two thirds in people deemed at risk of the disease. Cambridge/North Dumfries - This spring the Wild Indigo Duskywing (Erynnis baptisiae) butterfly made its first appearance in the Region of Waterloo, at The rare Charitable Research Reserve. This butterfly species has been considered rare in Southeastern Ontario until this year, when it has been noted in several new locations. There have been reports this year from other parts of Southeastern Ontario as well, all noting the occurrence of this species in areas outside of their former western range.
