Let your little one’s imagination run wild

KITCHENER – From train rides to crafts and interactive exhibits, your child’s imagination will run loose at Kidspark, a free family fun day with tons of entertainment, this Sunday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Victoria Park.

Celebrating its 22nd year, Kidspark is a festival featuring hands-on fun and exciting activities for kids that push the limits of their creativity. Celebrate the joys of childhood with all of the things children enjoy -- from stilt-walking, face painting and storytelling to juggling, and live music.

The fun is broken down into a number of “zones,” including the Kitchener Radios Group Work Out Zone, the TD Friends of the Environment Zone, the Research in Motion Discovery Zone, The Chapters Zone, The Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro Zone and the Rogers TV Safety Zone.

Don’t forget to bring a blanket and enjoy the full line-up of performances on the Waterloo Region Record Main Stage. From Tickle Trunk Tunes to Music with Brian and Mystic Drumz, your little one will be dancing away the afternoon.

Erick Traplin also returns this year, with lots of music, magic and good old-fashioned clowning around to delight all ages.

And don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle to fill up throughout the day at our giant water wagon filling station.

The event is presented by the City of Kitchener and supported by its sponsors, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, Research In Motion (RIM), The Waterloo Region Record, 96.7 Chym FM, 570 News, Kix FM, Rogers Television, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro, M&M Meat Shops, Roylco and the Kitchener Public Library. Thank you to our partners, Chapters & Boston Pizza. Posting courtesy Visitor Guide and Exchange Magazine.
