Friends of Waterloo Region Museum Theatre Seat Appeal

Waterloo Region - Leave a legacy by naming a theatre seat in the new Waterloo Region Museum. The museum building is now open as the gateway to Doon Heritage Village and features a 114 seat state-of-the-art theatre that will be home to many special events including lectures, films, music, storytelling and more. The theatre will also feature an engaging multi-media presentation that transports museum visitors back in time to the year 1914, the time period that the living history village is set in.

The Friends of Waterloo Region Museum are launching a Museum Theatre Seat Appeal that offers the opportunity to support the new museum through the sponsorship of a theatre seat. When a seat is sponsored, the donor chooses a name to appear on a plaque on the arm of a theatre chair. Each seat will be sold only once, and the name will remain on the seat for the life of the theatre.

Claim a place in time in the Waterloo Region Museum theatre and honor a family member, friend, group or company with a personalized name plaque on one or more of the seats. Only 114 theatre seat plaques are available and the price to sponsor a theatre chair is $250 per seat. Seat plaque sponsorships are a tax-deductible contribution and tax receipts will be issued for your donation.
