Local bands rev up for Band Blast 2010

KITCHENER – Once again young, local talent will be showcased at Band Blast 2010, a free, family-friendly outdoor concert taking place at Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre this Saturday, Sept. 11.

This year’s event will begin at 2 p.m. and will feature new performers including special West Coast guests, TheSet (Wax Records recording artists, from Victoria, BC), and Dani Jean (solo artist from Edmonton, AB).

Returning acts include Breaching Vista (Bright Side Records recording artists), The Cobrahawks, Fall of Spring, and H1N1. Also appearing are Kitchener performers Life Like Rockets, Courage My Love and Dustin Etmanski. Fall of Spring from Hamilton and Rosedale from Brampton will also perform.

In addition to the free concert, the event will also offer children’s activities, skatepark competitions, a barbecue, popcorn and cotton candy.

The event is supported by the Doon Pioneer Park Community Association and will take place rain or shine.
