WestJet named in Travel + Leisure magazine's world's best awards
Airline was the only Canadian airline among the top 10 domestic airline ranking for the second year in a row
CALGARY - WestJet announced that it was named among Travel + Leisure magazine's top 10 domestic airlines for the second year in a row. WestJet, once again, was the only Canadian airline named.
Travel + Leisure's 15th annual world's best poll asked the magazine's readers to rate the best hotels, destinations, airlines, cruises, outfitters and transportation companies in the world. In 2010, a new and improved poll yielded a record number of votes.
This latest recognition follows the Airline Staff Service Excellence Award for North America, which WestJet received at the 2010 World Airline Awards in Hamburg, Germany.
"Awards like this allow WestJet Vacations to leverage the renowned brand that is WestJet," said Chris Avery, Vice-President, WestJet Vacations. "Thanks to great destinations, schedules, comfortable aircraft and, most importantly, the more than 7,800 caring WestJetters, our guests can enjoy a great vacation with our award-winning airline."
