Kealy Dedman is Cambridge’s new Director of Engineering

Cambridge - George Elliott, Commissioner of Transportation and Public Works at the City of Cambridge is pleased to announce that Ms. Kealy Dedman will serve as the new Director of Engineering effective Monday, May 2nd.

Dedman brings extensive engineering experience to the position and most recently she served as the Manager of Development Engineering for the City of Mississauga. Her decade-long experience with this municipality included a period as the Capital Projects Manager in which she coordinated a wealth of infrastructure projects. She also successfully completed a one-year secondment with the Credit Valley Conservation Authority to provide them with expertise in the design and development of key environmental initiatives. Prior to joining Mississauga, Dedman was a water resource engineer in the private sector.

“We are pleased to have Kealy join the Cambridge team. She will be a great fit to support the diversity of technical needs in engineering operations within our department while allowing us to continue the evolution and growth of sustainable infrastructure for the corporation,” says Transportation and Public Works Commissioner George Elliott.

A Dean’s Scholar, Dedman holds a Bachelor of Science Engineering with a Civil Engineering option, along with a Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University. She is currently working towards a Masters of Public Administration degree on a part-time basis at the University of Western Ontario.
