TARGA NEWFOUNDLAND KIA FORTE KOUP SX TO BE AUCTIONED FOR CHARITY

"Team Wishful Thinking" Koup is being auctioned on eBay

MISSISSAUGA - The 2010 Kia Forte Koup SX that was driven in the 2010 Targa Newfoundland Rally by Team Wishful Thinking is now being auctioned for charity. The Koup, finished in 'rally red', was donated by Kia Canada Inc. and modified by Sherwood Kia in Edmonton, Alberta to make it 'rally ready' for its specific class. The vehicle has since been on display at numerous Canadian auto shows over the last few months.

The Kia Forte Koup is being auctioned on eBay, after it completed its final appearance at the Edmonton Motor Show last week, with all proceeds being donated to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. Kia Canada Inc. is honoured to team up with The Children's Wish Foundation to support their cause and mark the official debut of the Canadian edition of motorsports for Kia.

The 2010 Forte Koup was entered into the Modern Division of Targa Newfoundland and was driven by Adam Hill, who originally hails from Perth Australia and now calls Vancouver home, and Mark Kostick, of Edmonton Alberta. Both competitors were thrilled to compete under the banner of "Team Wishful Thinking" as part of a partnership that has raised over $100,000 thus far for the Children's Wish Foundation. Kia dealers across Canada also joined the fundraising effort by committing a portion of the proceeds of each vehicle they sold between August 16 and September 18, 2010. website.
