THAT’S AMORE PIZZA FOR KIDS GIVES BACK TO WATERLOO REGION!

Waterloo – For the first time since it began the successful That’s Amore Pizza For Kids fundraiser 12 years ago, Pizza Nova has dedicated proceeds to a charitable organization in Waterloo Region.

The Toronto-based Pizza Nova has 125 stores across Southern Ontario – three of which are right here in the Region. Over the years, Pizza Nova has raised over $900,000 for charities and provided countless gift-in-kind donations.

The recent That’s Amore Pizza for Kids fundraiser on May 10th was held in 120 Pizza Nova locations. Throughout the annual, all-day event, medium pepperoni pizzas were served for only $4.99 with $1 from each pizza sold donated to charity. Over $57,000 was raised in these locations for worthy causes.

As they expand into new communities, Pizza Nova decided to donate proceeds from this special day to a local organization. In Waterloo Region, those funds went to The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation.

“We chose The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation because of their mission of improving life to deserving members. They provide services to some of the most charitable causes of this community,” shares Domenic Primucci, President of Pizza Nova. “We want to help make a difference in the lives of children in the K-W area.”

The KWCF was on hand this past May 24th to accept a cheque for $1,227. This donation was made to The Foundation’s Community Fund – a pool of unrestricted funds that tackles our community’s most pressing issues.

“We are thrilled to partner with an organization that recognizes not only the needs we have in our community, but also the way in which we can make a lasting difference,” adds Rosemary Smith, CEO of The KWCF.
