Construction on Hydro One's new Bruce to Milton Transmission line reaches mid-point: supporting Ontario's clean energy future
KINCARDINE - Hydro One announced that the Bruce to Milton Transmission Reinforcement Project has passed the mid-point of construction. The new transmission line is expected to be in service by December 2012. Hydro One is building the approximately 180-kilometre, double-circuit 500 kilovolt transmission line on a widened existing corridor, extending from the Bruce Power complex in Kincardine, to Hydro One's Switching Station in Milton.

First time in Nissan Canada history that sales exceed 10,000 vehicles in a single month
MISSISSAUGA - Nissan Canada Inc. announced record-breaking sales for June with 11,293 vehicles sold, its best monthly sales ever and up 40.2 per cent over June 2010. Nissan also achieved a milestone with its best monthly sales ever with 10,686 units, up 47.4 per cent. Sales of Infiniti vehicles decreased 25 per cent from the prior year, to 607 units.

Bloomberg researcher named one of Canada’s Rising Stars in Global Health
TORONTO Grand Challenges Canada has awarded Bloomberg assistant professor LaRon E. Nelson a grant through the Canada Rising Star in Global Health initiative. He is one of only 19 recipients across Canada and will use the award to fund research to help prevent the spread of HIV in sub-Saharan Africa.

Vacancy Rate in Seniors' Housing Residences at 10.7 Per Cent
OTTAWA - The vacancy rate for standard spaces in seniors' residences remained relatively stable at 10.7 per cent in 2011, compared to 10.8 per cent in 2010, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation Seniors' Housing Report, Canada Highlights edition.
