Motorcade and Biker Run for Accountability and Transparency
We are inviting members of the media to our Motorcade and Biker Run for Accountability and Transparency of Children’s Aid Societies being held Saturday, July16, 2011 from 11am until 4pm . This motorcade will begin in the Southwest parking lot of Victoria Park (near the Pavillion) in Kitchener. We will travel through Cambridge, stopping at the Children's Aid at 168 Hespeler Road and then through to Hamilton Catholic Children's Aid Society at 735 King St.E. In Hamilton.

Niagara author launches new Ontario cookbook at Kitchener Market
KITCHENER The author and food columnist who put Niagara food on the culinary map will be stopping by the Marketplace at the Kitchener Market on Saturday, July 9 at 10 a.m. Lynn Ogryzlo is on tour to promote her latest book, The Ontario Table, a cookbook designed to introduce the people and the culture of Ontario’s local food. She will be signing books, doing a cooking demonstration and reading from The Ontario Table.

Government of Canada Announces Investment in Green Innovation for Canada's Auto Sector
CAMBRIDGE - The Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State (Science and Technology), on behalf of the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of Industry, announced a repayable contribution from the Government of Canada of up to $70.84 million to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. for its Project Green Light. Toyota's total investment in the project could reach up to $506.00 million. The Province of Ontario is also providing assistance of up to $70.84 million.

Statscan - The value of building permits rose 20.9% to $6.4 billion in May, following a 21.5% decline in April. Higher construction intentions, particularly for commercial buildings in Quebec and Alberta and multi-family dwellings in Ontario, were behind the advance.
