KITCHENER Staff at Front Line Healthcare will hold an information picket Monday July 11, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., outside the Victoria Place Retirement Home located at 290 Queen Street North. The workers have set up the picket in protest of the impending layoff of full-time and part-time guest attendants.

Canada's Job Market Stuck in Neutral, Auto Union President Says.
TORONTO - "Canada's job market is still stuck in neutral. It is high time the federal government acknowledge and address this fact," said CAW President Ken Lewenza in response to the present Labour Force Survey release. Lewenza challenged the rosy labour market picture portrayed by Statistics Canada noting that the good news story of 28,400 new net jobs in the month of June is overshadowed by the fact that growth was found mostly in part-time work.
