Flooding
River flows will increase, flooding possible as another system aims for the Grand River watershed
Cambridge - A weather system is forecast to move into the Grand River watershed late Sunday bringing with it mild temperatures and the possibility of up to 30 mm of rainfall. The combination of mild temperatures, rainfall amounts, saturated or frozen ground, and existing ice jams in the river are cause for potential flood concerns at this time.

Superior North Emergency Medical Services Rural and Remote Paramedics vote for strike action!
TORONTO - CAW Local 229 members from 14 remote and rural paramedic stations throughout the district of Thunder Bay voted 100% in favour of strike action. The strike vote took place February 21-23, 2011. The vote overwhelmingly attended sending a very clear message to the Leadership of CAW Local 229.

Canadian economic accounts
Statscan - Real gross domestic product rose 0.8% in the fourth quarter, led by exports, following a 0.4% gain in the previous quarter. Final domestic demand advanced 1.2%. On a monthly basis, real GDP by industry increased 0.5% in December.

Canada's balance of international payments
Statscan - Canada's overall current account deficit (on a seasonally adjusted basis) narrowed $5.9 billion to reach $11.0 billion in the fourth quarter, mainly on higher exports of goods as well as lower imports of goods.
