Grand River Hospital to celebrate achievement of RNAO Best Practice Spotlight Organization designation
Kitchener/Waterloo - The nursing staff members of Grand River Hospital are pleased to invite you to a celebration three years in the making.
On Friday May 4th, GRH will celebrate achieving the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario’s Best Practice Spotlight Organization designation. The designation has involved the hospital adopting 14 best practice guidelines to provide the latest evidence and best practices to guide nursing care.
Through their work since 2009, nursing staff members in GRH’s specialized programs and services have put in place new standards and practices to improve patient care, safety and comfort. Examples of this work include new measures to help patients dealing with foot complications from diabetes, better assessment and management of pain, and improved care for older adults dealing with dementia, delirium or depression.
The official celebration will take place as follows:
Friday May 4th 2012;
10 am to 11 am (please arrive by 9:50am for set-up); and
GRH KW Site, 835 King Street West, Kitchener. Proceedings will take place in the hospital’s cafeteria.
