KITCHENER After nearly 11 hours of deliberations, Kitchener city council approved the 2012 operating budget, which includes a property tax increase of 1.41 per cent. Factoring in the city’s annual contribution to the economic development investment fund (EDIF), this equates to an increase of 2.39 per cent - or $22.81 per year - for the average household.
