Cathy Taylor accepts new role with the Ontario Nonprofit Network
Guelph Cathy Taylor has accepted the position as the first Executive Director of the Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN), a Toronto based organization that has emerged as a convener, communication broker and coordinator for nonprofits in Ontario.
On secondment to the Ontario Nonprofit Network since June 2012, Cathy Taylor was the founding Executive Director of the Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington. Christine Oldfield and Liz Dennis have been sharing the role of interim director, and will remain in the position until a new Executive Director is hired early in the new year.
The Volunteer Centre Board and staff would like to thank Cathy for all her years of hard work and dedication. Cathy celebrated her 11th year with the organization in July of this year. Cathy helped to build the Volunteer Centre into a multi-service organization that is a community hub and leader in Guelph and Wellington. Although she will be greatly missed, we are happy that Cathy has accepted this new opportunity to serve in a provincial capacity and wish her well as she begins this new chapter in her career.
Members, partners and other well-wishers are welcome to attend the Open House event to be held in Cathy’s honour at the Volunteer Centre on Friday, December 14 from 3-5pm.
