Miovision Named a Top Employer in Waterloo Area for 2013

Kitchener – Miovision announced their pleasure to have been named one of Waterloo Area’s Top 15 Employers for 2013. The annual list, compiled by Mediacorp Canada Inc. a Torstar affiliate and recognizes employers in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph region who offer an exceptional place to work.

The 2013 winners are showcased in a special edition of The Record and Guelph Mercury (published November 24th), and featured in-depth on the job search engine, Eluta.ca.

Employers are evaluated on eight different criteria, including Work & Social Atmosphere, Employee Communications, and Training & Skills Development. Employers are compared against other organizations in their industry, with the most progressive employer securing a spot on the 2013 list. Miovision was selected for its commitment to professional development, and its employee recognition program. Miovision was also noted for providing its employees with the following benefits:

• Referral bonus to employees who refer a candidate that is successfully hired by the company (to $1,000)
• Ongoing employee development opportunities through in-house training programs and formal mentoring
• Career opportunities for new and recent graduates

Miovision fosters a corporate culture and workplace environment based on innovation and dedication. The company provides flexible work hours, frequent social events, and free dinners (prepared onsite) for staff working overtime. Earlier in November, Miovision surprised employees with an appreciation shopping spree at Best Buy in Kitchener.

“We continuously work at nurturing a dynamic and rewarding corporate culture and workplace environment, one where our employees have opportunities to learn and grow, and are inspired to excel,” says Kurtis McBride, CEO of Miovision. “To see the success of our employees’ contributions, and be recognized for it as a Top Employer is an incredible honour.”

Natalie Dumond, Human Resources Manager at Miovision adds, “It’s our employees, their passion and talent, which makes Miovision such a great place to work. Everyone here is not only dedicated to their own work, but also to the collective success of their co-workers, and the company as a whole.”
