Eric Whitacre: Virtual Choir Live

Composer and conductor Eric Whitacre has inspired millions by bringing together "virtual choirs," singers from many countries spliced together on video. Now, for the first time ever, he creates the experience in real time, as 32 singers from around the world Skype in to join an onstage choir (assembled from three local colleges) for an epic performance of Whitacre's "Cloudburst," based on a poem by Octavio Paz.

Cambridge launches online portal for water customers - providing easy access to account information

Cambridge - The City of Cambridge has introduced a new online service for water customers to make it easier to access information and look at their consumption and conservation trends. It’s called ‘MyWaterAccount’ and it’s a secure online portal that provides customers with details of their water billing history. The new tool gives customers access to their current balance and the status of their account. Customers who sign up for the free service can also download two years of transaction and consumption history.

Celebrate Community Art: 2nd Annual Studio 30 Art Exhibition Kick Off

Cambridge – On Tuesday April 2 2013, Langs will kick off the 2nd Annual Studio 30 Art Exhibition with a free opening reception between 6:30-8:30pm. Studio 30 is a group of local artists who paint with watercolor, acrylics and mixed media. This kick-off reception is open to the public and provides an opportunity to meet the artists, and also a first-chance opportunity to view, and potentially purchase, beautiful hand painted art. 25% of all art sold throughout the 6 week show will be donated back to Langs by the artists.
