Toyota Canada Inc. exceeds 20,000 in monthly sales and records 7.2% sales increase for April

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) sold 20,089 vehicles in April, up 7.2% versus 2012.

TORONTO - Toyota division sales of 18,008 vehicles were up 6% as truck sales continue to drive growth with sales up 20.3%. April also set new sales records for the all-new RAV4 and Tacoma 4x4, surpassing the previous April records set in 2011. Lexus recorded a 13.6% overall sales growth versus 2012, with luxury SUV sales up 30.9%. Scion also recorded its best-ever April since launch with sales up 40.3%.

Porsche Canada reports best sales month in its history

Mississauga - Porsche Cars Canada, importer and distributor of Porsche vehicles in Canada, today reported record April sales of 404 units, up 23.2% from the previous April record of 328, established in 2012.

The April launch of the all-new 2014 Cayman allowed the model line to reach 32 vehicles, a jump of 88.2% over the prior year. Sales of the other sports cars followed suit in April: the 911 lineup continued to show its strength with 99 units, an increase of 13.8% reported, as did the Boxster with 68 units.

Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned sales reached 93 units, an increase of 57.6% over the prior year and tying the all-time record set in March 2013.

Honda Canada Reports April Sales Results

RDX sets all-time monthly sales record
Acura sells more than 2,000 monthly units for the first time since 2009

MARKHAM - Combined April sales of 15,343 units by the Honda and Acura divisions of Honda Canada Inc. represented a 20% increase over last year's sales. The Honda Automobile Division reported April sales of 13,257 units, up 17% over last year. The Acura Division reported April sales of 2,086 units, up 39% over last year.

"As expected, strong April sales have propelled us back into positive year over year growth. Our core models are seeing solid support as we continue through the Spring selling season, with CR-V posting best-ever April monthly sales," said Dave Gardner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Canada Inc. "For the first time since October 2009, Acura reported monthly sales above two thousand units, fueled by RDX all-time best monthly sales and MDX best April sales. With a strong start to the second quarter, we expect Acura's growth to continue as we refresh the Acura product lineup this summer."

March highlights:

Honda Fit was up 105% over the same period last year with 751 units sold.
Honda Accord had strong sales of 1,738 units sold versus 684 units in the same period last year (up 154%).
Honda CR-V posts best all-time April sales of 3,793 units, up 31% over 2,905 units sold last year.
Acura RDX had best all-time monthly sales of 750 units, over the previous record of 594 units in May 2012.
Acura MDX had best April monthly sales with 789 units sold versus the previous best April of 533 units sold in 2007.

Nissan Reports Canadian Sales for April

- Nissan Sales Up 17.6%; Pathfinder Sales Jump 830% -

MISSISSAUGA - Nissan reported April Canadian sales of 8,078 units, up 16.8 per cent from last year's total of 6,919. Nissan Division sales increased 17.6 per cent in April with 7,416 deliveries, while Infiniti deliveries totaled 662 units, up 8.2 per cent over 2012.

Nissan truck sales remained strong with both the Frontier Compact pick-up truck and Armada full-size SUV posting best-ever April sales
Sales of the Nissan Murano increased 43.4 per cent this month with 416 units
Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF totaled 48 units, up 28.0 per cent over last April

MISSISSAUGA - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today reported landmark April results with 3,562 units sold, an increase of 29.4 percent over the same month last year. These record-breaking results represent the company's highest sales ever in a single month, setting a blistering pace with month after month of growth as momentum increases towards another all-time annual sales record for 2013.

The recent successful introduction of the next-generation 2014 Forester proved to satisfy customers in the compact SUV market as Subaru retailed 1,194 units, an unprecedented 67.5 percent increase over last April. The BRZ also made its mark as Subaru's most popular car for performance enthusiasts with April results soaring 33.3 percent above target.

Mazda Canada announces sales results for April 2013

-- All-new Mazda6 maintains strong sales momentum --

TORONTO - Mazda Canada announced sales for April 2013 today totaling 6,682, which represents a decrease of 5% compared to April 2012. Total year-to-date sales of 23,420 are up by 1% over the first four months of 2012.

Sales of the all-new SKYACTIV Mazda6 shot up by 451% in April, making it the best April sales since 2009. SKYACTIV Technology-equipped vehicles accounted for nearly 60% of total vehicles sold in April.

"With the addition of the all-new Mazda6 with the new 2.5L SKYACTIV-G engine to our line-up, more and more consumers are experiencing what SKYACTIV is all about," stated David Klan, Senior Director of Sales, Marketing and Regional Operations at Mazda Canada. "The Mazda6 provides a driving experience like no other midsize sedan, combined with design and quality that is second to none."

The refreshed CX-9 and CX-5 also experienced positive gains in April, increasing 114% and 9%, respectively. The 2014 CX-5 is now available with an all-new 2.5L gasoline engine which produces 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque while still maintaining the excellent fuel economy standards set by the 2.0L CX-5 one year ago.
