Home Hardware Announces Changes to Merchandise, Marketing and Operations Departments

St. Jacobs – Home Hardware announced the creation of two new senior positions within their company this morning. A single Merchandise organization responsible for all product sourcing led by one Vice-President has been announced as well as an integrated Marketing and Sales organization led by a Vice-President, Marketing and Sales.

Joel Marks, Director of Merchandise, Hardlines, has accepted the position of Vice-President, Merchandise, effective August 4, 2015. Joel has almost 35 years of experience in home improvement retailing. Joel has been with Home Hardware since 1999, when the company purchased Beaver Lumber. He began his career at Beaver Lumber where, after 18 years, he advanced to the position of Director, Merchandise. Joel has a proven track record over many years of successfully planning and executing initiatives to provide Home Dealers with quality products at competitive prices. Home Hardware is currently recruiting for the Vice-President, Marketing and Sales position.

With the newly integrated Merchandise department, Bruce White, Vice-President, Merchandise and Marketing - LBM will report to Joel Marks. Ray Gabel, Vice-President, Merchandise and Marketing – Hardlines will transition to a new role of Senior Merchandise Advisor, also reporting to Joel Marks. Marketing and Operations teams will be transitioned to report to the newly created Vice-President, Marketing and Sales position.
